1972 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-024

Description

A strong CW spread shows remnants of an extra horizontal bar of the 2 in the date well above the normal horizontal bar. The variety shows the master die doubling known for this date on LIBERTY and IGWT. Die Markers: Obverse: A very short die scratch runs NE from the top of the 9. Reverse: Light horizontal die scratches can be found below the left Memorial base. A small die gouge (dot) can be found to the right of the center of the last Memorial column. A small die gouge (dot) can be found to the right of the right cornice. A small die gouge (dot) can be found to the right of the top of the T in CENT. Obverse:
