Cataloged as ADC-1c-1964-01 in the MadDieClashes registry, this 1964 Lincoln Memorial Cent preserves a strong two-sided die clash revealing transferred design elements from both dies. On the obverse, portions of the memorial roof, bays, and the word ONE are visible to the left of Lincoln's head, impressed when the dies struck each other without a planchet. Evidence of polishing lines beneath the clash impression suggests this die experienced an earlier clash followed by polishing before the documented clash occurred, making this a multi-event die history on a single coin.
