Description
1964-D WDDR-008 is a doubled die reverse on the 1964-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. AMERICA and ONE DIME show a close spread toward the center. The obverse has a Blunt Tail 9 and no significant markers. On the reverse, a gouge sits right of the lower part of UNITED's I, and a scratch extends NE off the upper part of DIME's I. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler's comments note that the specimen examined shows mechanical doubling on most of the reverse design, and caution against mistaking it for the doubled die's doubling.
