Description

Class VI, Distended Hub DoublingA strong Class VI spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM.  A slightly lesser spread shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and FIVE CENTS. Die Markers: Obverse: Strong die scratch from tip of Jefferson's chin toward R of TRUST; slanted die scratch below 9 of date. Reverse: Three short slanted die scratches inside right arch; series of slanted die scratches below NTS of CENTS; series of die scratches below M of UNUM.  Coin examined was LDS.
