Description
Class II, Distorted Hub Doubling "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesExtremely strong tripling is spread toward the center on E PLURIBUS UNUM increasing from left to right. Doubling shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA also increasing from left to right where it becomes tripling on AMERICA. Lesser doubling can be seen on FIVE CENTS and ELLO of MONTICELLO. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Strong die gouge from lower left of N of UNITED southeast toward rim; die scratch parallel to rim under TED STAT of UNITED STATES; short die scratch NE from right end of lower crossbar of F of OF.
