Description
Obverse: Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a doubled die that is listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1960 10¢ Pr WDDO-004. Light doubling can be seen on the designer's initials, the hair above the ear, the hair on the back of the head, and at the eyelid. Die chip in the cavity above the eyelid and where the forehead begins. Die chip (dot) just right of the vertical and above the horizontal bars of the L in LIBERTY. Reverse: Die chips on the leaves touching the torch holder on the left-hand side. Die chip at the left side of the A in STATES positioned between the center and top.
