Attributed by the Wexler Team and cross-referenced as Flynn DDR-003 and Wexler Variety ID: 1960 50¢ Pr WDDR-006, this 1960 Proof Franklin Half Dollar doubled die reverse shows strong spread toward the center on E PLURIBUS UNUM, the dots flanking the motto, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, HALF DOLLAR, and the eagle's tail feathers — affecting a broad range of reverse design elements. The dual cross-referencing between the Wexler and Flynn catalogs provides collectors with two independent attribution sources for verification. Sinnock's Franklin Half Dollar reverse features the Liberty Bell as its central device, flanked by the eagle and surrounded by inscriptions that served as primary targets for hub doubling.
