Description
Doubling shows on EPU, the dots, and the tail feathers of the eagle. Doubling is light on USA, HALF DOLLAR, the bell clapper, the eagle’s legs and wing tips. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Horizontal (slightly cupped) die scratch through center of left vertical bar of the U in UNITED. Obverse Stage B: Lower hair locks polished away at back of neck on obverse. Reverse Stage A: None noted. Reverse Stage B: A small die gouge can be found inside the C in AMERICA. Obverse Stage A:
