Description
1956 WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse on the 1956 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A light spread appears on the lettering that circles the rim and on two letters of E PLURIBUS UNUM, its E and its P. Obverse markers are a very light NNE scratch off the ear and a SW scratch under TRUST's R. On the reverse, a light gouge sits between the flame and the O in OF, and another light gouge lies at the top, between AMERICA's E and R. Whaden Curtis submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
