Description
Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA nice Class II spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, increasing from left to right. Close doubling shows on CENTS, CELLO of MONTICELLO, and the right side of the building. Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge on Jeffersons nose to the left of his eye; series of concentric die scratches in his hair. Reverse: Short vertical die scratch above long right window; small die dot below large center semicircular window; slanted die scratch to left of small left window; short die gouge to left of lower part of building near rim.
