1955 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-012

Description

Exhibiting Class II Distorted Hub Doubling on the proof Jefferson Nickel, the 1955 WDDR-012 shows strong doubling on STATES OF AMERICA that increases in intensity from left to right across the inscription. Closer doubling appears on FIVE CENTS, the LLO of MONTICELLO, and UNUM, while strong doubling also affects the right side of the Monticello building facade.
