Description

Extreme extra thickness on E PLURIBUS UNUM and the upper wheat ears distinguishes DDR-002 as one of the strongest doubled die reverses for the 1945 Philadelphia Lincoln Wheat Cent — the "extreme" designation indicating hub displacement at the upper end of what the Wheat Cent design can reveal. Die stage tracking documents three states: UVC-1673, DMR-014. Stage A remains in unconfirmed Early Die State. Stage B shows both reverse and obverse reaching Mid-Die State (MDS), confirmed.
