Description
The 1944-S Doubled Die Reverse DDR-002 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1944 (S) Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-1653 DMR-021 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Reverse and Obverse are MDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed). Mintmark is LISTED as MMS-005 (straight serifs). I need to see a specimen of this doubled die for new color photos and die stage information.
