Medium spread on the numerals 194 of the date and the letters TY of LIBERTY identifies this as the primary doubled die obverse for the 1944 Philadelphia Mint Lincoln Wheat Cent — the DDO-001 designation marks it as the first and most significant documented DDO for the date.
