Description

Struck on shell casing cent planchets recycled from World War II brass cartridge cases, the 1944-D DDO-009 exhibits extra eyelid detail to the southeast — localized doubling where the secondary hub impression displaced Lincoln's eyelid, creating a visible secondary contour below and to the right of the primary line.
