Cataloged by VarietyVista with provisional codes UVC-???? and DMR-0?? indicating unassigned sequence numbers, this 1943-S San Francisco Mint Lincoln Wheat Cent doubled die obverse was struck on the zinc-coated steel planchets that define the 1943 wartime issue — the only year copper was diverted entirely from cent production for military use. The variety features die gouges on Lincoln's vest and two die cracks: one running over V.D.B.
