Description

Extra thickness shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, the dots, the wheat ears and OF AMERICA. Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches are present under chin, running south in front of the tie. Multiple die scratches run NNW in front of nose and forehead. Die scratches are present behind Lincoln’s head above TY in LIBERTY running north to south. Reverse: A die crack runs south from the rim to the first U in PLURIBUS and continues south to the top left side of the O in ONE. An undulating die crack/gouge runs through the center of the N in ONE running SSE. A die chip is present on the lower left side of the O in ONE with a die crack running from this chip to the middle of the left side of the E in CENT. A die crack runs north from the rim to the lower right wheat ear.
