Nice extra thickness shows on EPU, both dots, both wheat ears and stems, OF AMERICA, and the outermost letters of UNITED STATES.Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a minor RPM listed in the Wexler files as 1942-S 1¢ WRPM-034. A diagonal die scratch shows below Lincoln’s bowtie. Light vertical die scratches show behind Lincoln’s upper hair. A series of light, vertical die scratches run north of the letters ERT in LIBERTY. A horizontal die scratch shows on Lincoln’s lapel below the buttonhole. A series of short, horizontal die scratches show on Lincoln’s lower shoulder and rear shoulder fold. Reverse: Two vertical die scratches run inside the C in CENT. A diagonal die scratch runs through the upper right T in CENT. Vertical die scratches show north of the N in UNITED. Vertical die scratches are present inside the letter D in UNITED. A series of vertical die scratches run through the letter O in OF. A vertical die scratch is present to the right of the second A in AMERICA. Vertical die scratches run from below C in AMERICA to the wheat stem. Submitted By: Albert B.
