Description

1941-S WWHR-001 is a doubled working hub reverse on the 1941-S Mercury dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A Class II spread is visible on the right star, DIME, E PLURIBUS UNUM, the uppermost leaves and berries, the top of the axe and STATES OF AMERICA. Wexler notes that the obverse and reverse die markers differ from one working die to the next. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 1-R-II; the Cherrypickers' Guide listed it as FS-10-1941S-801 until the 6th edition dropped it.
