Obverse: Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse of this variety is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1941-D 50¢ WDDO-002. E/W die scratch to the left of the upper area of the first 1 in the date. Die scratch from the bottom of the first 1 in the date NE to the lower curve of the 9. NE/SW die scratches through the lower and center areas of the second 1 in the date. Reverse: Light die scratches south from the eagle's beak and palette area.
