Description
Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA close Class II spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM. Has reverse of 1938 steps (wavy). Die Markers: Obverse: Numerous die scratches on lower queue running in a mostly N/S direction; numerous die scratches on lower bust running in a mostly WSW/ENE direction; rotational die scratches on Jefferson's face, cheek, hair and collar. Reverse: A small die gouge (dot) inside lower part of small left window; curving die scratch running SW/NE to left of semicircular window above center two columns; short diagonal die gouge to the right of the lower part of column #1; small die gouges below column #2; die scratches twist mostly N/S between two right windows; die scratch runs NNE from upper left of building to rim.
