The 1938 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-006 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1938 Jefferson Nickel, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: Obverse: Vertical die gouge between N of IN and G of GOD. Reverse: Slanted die scratch to upper left of second O of MONTICELLO; some light die scratches to upper right of large center semicircular window.
