Description

A Class II spread toward the center shows on the date and behind the lower neck. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Two die scratches from the chin, one running south through the O of GOD and the second running south between the O and D of GOD. Two SW/NE die scratches inside the forks of the Y of LIBERTY, closer to the left fork. Series of E/W die scratches running through the left side of the lower hair. Die scratch parallel to the rim from the upper R to Y of LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: All die scratches gone except the scratch parallel to the rim. Die gouge inside the upper 9. Reverse Stage A: Short N/S die scratch above the axe in a relative position with the right side of the A in STATES. Reverse Stage B: N/S die scratch between stem and lower fasces. Obverse Stage A:
