Description
The Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1936 Boone Half Dollar, part of the Classic Silver Commemoratives (1892-1954) series. Die markers: Obverse: Die scratch SE from the top of the F in OF toward the A in AMERICA. E/W die scratch connecting the middle of the AM in AMERICA. Reverse: Heavy E/W die scratches between IN of IGWT and the rim. Heavy NW die gouge touching Chief Back Fish's right arm near the elbow.
