Strong die file lines above and below the word ONE, with fainter lines in the fields around the eagle, define the reverse of VAM-7A of the 1934-D Peace Dollar, discovered in 2015. Cataloged as 7A II1 B2a with I-2 importance and R-5 rarity, this variety also features a doubled right reverse, combining hub doubling with die maintenance evidence. The concentrated filing above and below ONE suggests clash marks were most severe in the denomination area, where the obverse portrait's transferred impression would have been most visible. Fainter file lines in the surrounding eagle fields indicate the Mint worker extended remediation beyond the primary clash zone. The doubled right reverse adds a pre-clash diagnostic, as the hub doubling would have been present before the clash event, making this die's history readable as doubling first, then clashing, then filing. The 1934-D Peace Dollar represents one of the final issues in the series, as production ended in 1935. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper at 26.73 grams at the Denver Mint, this late-series Peace Dollar documents the sequential history of a reverse die that received hub doubling, sustained a clash, and was filed for remediation.
