Description
1924 WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 1924 Huguenot-Walloon commemorative half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. HUGUENOT shows a moderate Class VI spread. On the obverse, the R in DOLLAR has a crack running north from it into the bust. On the reverse, a crack runs along the bases of HUGUENOT's letters, cracks join RY of TERCENTENARY to the 4 of 1924, an E/W crack crosses the topmost flag on the Nieuw Nederland, and many E/W scratches cross HUGUENOT. No submitter is noted. Wexler lists no cross-references.
Die Markers
- Obverse: Die crack extends north into the bust from the R in DOLLAR. Reverse: Die crack runs through the bottom of the letters of HUGUENOT. Die cracks connect the RY in TERCENTENARY to the 4 in 1924. E/W die crack through the highest flag on the Nieuw Nederland. Many E/W die scratches through HUGUENOT.
