In 1915, coins were struck at the Philadelphia and San Francisco Mints with a combined mintage of 410,075. This ranks 6th of 15 years by total mintage, below the series median of 586,695. The obverse features a Native American wearing a feathered war bonnet, facing left and the reverse displays a standing eagle with the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM and IN GOD WE TRUST. Philadelphia and San Francisco struck eagles. The 1915-S is a better date. Struck in 90% gold, 10% copper, weighing 16.7 grams, 26.8 mm in diameter, with a raised stars edge.
