1909 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-010
Error
Description
A Class II + Class VI spread towards the center shows on the upper left wheat ear, the right side of the right wheat ear, and very slightly on the E PL of EPU. A possible Class IV spread to the west on an early hubbing appears to show on some of the letters of USA. Master die doubling spread north shows at the bottom of some of the letters of USA. A distinct notch can be seen on the lower right corner of the C in CENT. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge (dot) is centered at the opening of the second 9 in the date. A short die gouge extends NW from the upper first 9 of the date. Reverse: A diagonal die scratch is centered at the opening of the C in CENT. Another die scratch runs NNW to SSE to and from the inside of the C. This variety has the V.D.B. reverse. Obverse:
