Error
Description
The 1909 VDDR VDDR-028 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1909 Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-???? DMR-0?? Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Die clash through C of CENT – EMDS Die clash at throat and behind neck – EMDS Stage C: MDS (unconfirmed) Stage D: LDS (unconfirmed). Reverse is RDV-004 (Deep cut N, no V. D. B.) / RDV-003 (Shallow cut N, no V. D. B).
