Description

The 1900 Lafayette Dollar is a dollar produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Classic Silver Commemoratives (1892-1954) series. With a mintage of 36,026, this is a scarce issue. The obverse features designs varying by commemorative issue, each authorized by an individual act of Congress, while the reverse displays designs varying by commemorative issue. Designed by Charles E. Barber. Struck in 90% silver, 10% copper, weighing 26.73 grams, 38.1 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Cataloged as PCGS #9222.
