=1894-S VAM-6 Gouges at Jaw, High S= Discovered by Martin Field, June 1982. 6 III2 6 - C3e (Gouges at Jaw, High S) (185) Obverse III2 6- Date in normal position. Two gouges from bottom edge of Liberty's jaw. Large, flat lump in the middle of Liberty's ear. Die Markers - Polishing lines in LIBERTY, diagonal line through D-shaped void in hair. Reverse C3e - S mint mark set high. Diagonal gouge from bottom inside of bow to tip of the topmost leaf in the first right wreath cluster.
