Description

Discovered in 2009 and subsequently relisted as VAM-32, the original VAM-27 designation for this 1890 Philadelphia Morgan Dollar documents a Double Ear Right Inside feature under classification III2 6 - C3a. The obverse shows very slight doubling on the lower right inside of Liberty's ear — a subtle diagnostic that requires careful examination under magnification to confirm. The date occupies the middle of its normal lateral position, eliminating date placement as a supplementary identification feature.
