Description
1890-P VAM-21 Doubled Left Wreath & Arrow Feathers Discovered by Marc Serafine, September 2001. 21 III2 1 · C3c (Doubled Left Wreath & Arrow Feathers) (190) Obverse III2 1- Normal die. Closed 9. Reverse C3c– Middle leaves in each group of leaves in left wreath slightly doubled towards rim. Slight doubling of lower edge of bottom two arrow feathers and lower arrow shaft. DPIS - Emission Sequence Obverse: Reverse: Comments: JR examined a piece that looks like a good match for LVA's plate. It is a different marriage than the coin in the additional photos on this page. In addition to the doubling in the listing, there is a short gouge from the first tail feather to the underside of the olive branch. The obverse has a pair of diagonal thread like impressions on the nose and a couple of lines in front of the lower part of the eye.
