Description
1890-CC VAM-13 Far Date, Doubled 1 Discovered by Martin Field, June 1981. Revised 2015 by Brian Haight 13 (revised) III2 7 - C3a (Far Date, Doubled 1,Die Gouge Below Ear and Neck, Rusted and Gouged Reverse) (178) Obverse III2 7 - 1 doubled at top left and right of lower crossbar. Date set further right than normal. Long diagonal striated die gouge below Earlobe and over to face rear. Second striated diagonal die gouge above rear of jaw-neck junction Reverse C3a - Same die as VAM-1B but polished somewhat with raised dots from rusted die between tail feather and wreath bow, above and below olive branch at both ends. Some remaining die scratches at top outside left of wreath bow and below eagles right wing. Fine die scratches in eagles left wing.
