=1878 VAM-14.12 Double Date= Discovered February 1995 by Les Hartnett 14-12 I1 12 · A1c (Doubled Date) (189?) Obverse I1 12– Thin spike below eyelid. Slightly doubled date. 1 doubled below upper crossbar, first 8 doubled at top inside of both loops and bottom left outside of upper loop, 7 doubled below crossbar and right side of vertical shaft, second 8 doubled at top inside and bottom left outside of upper loop. Reverse A1c– Die further polished down. DPIS – In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This is an 8 Tailfeather Morgan variety. The A1c reverse is shared by Vams 1878-P VAM-3, 1878-P VAM-4, 1878-P VAM-5, 1878-P VAM-14.6, 1878-P VAM-14.7, 1878-P VAM-14.11, 1878-P VAM-14.12, 1878-P VAM-14.14, 1878-P VAM-14.17 and 1878-P VAM-14.18. All but VAMs 3 & 4 are major rarities. # Eye dots in front of eye.
