1878-P VAM-15 Doubled Liberty Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, December 1965. Obverse discovered by Francis Klaes, June 1963. This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM. This reverse is characterized by unique tailfeathers next to the eagle's wings including a spiked feather on the right side that is often used as a diagnostic when paired with the two curved feathers on the left side(see photo below). Please note that this reverse is shared with the [[1878-P VAM-10 which is not a Top 100 variety. Thus, the obverse must also be examined for distinction.
