The 1873 Half Eagle Patterns page groups the half eagle patterns dated 1873 in the Trade Dollar Era Patterns (1871-1873) series, all struck at the Philadelphia Mint. J-1337 to J-1339 pair William Barber's Liberty head facing right with the eagle reverse of his 1872 gold design, in gold, copper and aluminum, first offered in E. B. Haseltine's March 1876 sale; J-1340 and J-1341 are copper and aluminum strikings from the regular dies.
