The 1872 Proof Dollar Pattern - J-1214 is a proof dollar pattern struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Trade Dollar Era Patterns (1871-1873) series. It pairs William Barber's adaptation of Longacre's Indian Princess design, with 13 stars on the flag and the date below, with the Commercial Dollar reverse. At least seven are known in silver.
