Description
A copper rendering of J-1206's conventional trade dollar concept, this pattern provides the base-metal comparison for the traditional Seated Liberty approach. The warm copper tones give the conventional design a distinctly different character from the standard silver version, while preserving every detail of the eagle reverse and Liberty obverse for close examination. Copper dollar patterns from 1872 are among the most sought-after pieces in the Trade Dollar era series.
