The 1872 Proof Cent Pattern - J-1180 is a proof cent pattern struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Trade Dollar Era Patterns (1871-1873) series. It was struck from the regular 1872 Indian Head cent dies. Two or three are believed to exist, and USPatterns.com suggests they may be mint errors. It is struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. USPatterns.com rates it R-8. It is also catalogued as Pollock-1321. Cataloged as PCGS #61451.
