Description
Aluminum with a reeded edge presents the eighth Liberty Head variant and Standard wreath reverse in the lightest striking format. Stack's Bowers has cataloged this variety as Rarity-7+, with a Proof-65 example in their records confirming that high-grade aluminum examples from the 1870 program do survive.
