The 1869 Proof Half Dime Pattern - J-695 is a proof half dime pattern struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Reconstruction Era Patterns (1866-1869) series. It was struck from the regular 1869 half dime dies. The single example, ex Stickney and Brand, has not been seen since 1940; it may be a mint error struck without a reeded collar. It is struck in nickel with a plain edge. USPatterns.com lists it as unique. It is also catalogued as Pollock-774 and Adams-Woodin 799. Cataloged as PCGS #60920.
