The 1868 Proof Three Cent Pattern - J-617a is a proof three-cent pattern struck at the Philadelphia Mint, part of the Reconstruction Era Patterns (1866-1869) series. It is a muling that pairs the wide-border obverse of J-615 with the laurel-wreath reverse of J-618. The number J-620a was given to the same coin.
