Description

One of the later entries in the extensive 1867 Shield nickel pattern series, this proof variety continues the systematic exploration of design possibilities for America's newest denomination. J-579 may feature a modified star arrangement, altered border treatment, or alternative approach to the numeral 5 on the reverse.
