Description

Judd-393, Pollock-464, is the third 1864 proof half dollar motto pattern. Struck in silver with proof finish, this pattern showcases the near-final design for the With Motto half dollar that would enter production in 1866. The scroll bearing IN GOD WE TRUST above the eagle had been refined through sixteen prior varieties across three years, and J-393 presents one of the most polished versions of this arrangement. The half dollar would become one of the most recognizable With Motto denominations.
