Description

Judd-330, Pollock-382, is a proof dime pattern known in multiple compositions (J-330, J-330a, J-330b). This die combination represents one of the designs in the later portion of the 1863 dime series, potentially incorporating lessons learned from earlier patterns. The Seated Liberty dime had been in production since 1837, and by 1863 the basic design was over twenty-five years old. While the With Motto modification was the change under consideration, some of these patterns explored more substantial redesigns that were ultimately not pursued.

Rarity Notes

Rarity-6 to R-7. Approximately 10-15 specimens known in the standard composition.
