The 1792 Washington President Eagle Reverse - Lettered Edge Half Dollar is a half dollar from the Philadelphia Mint, belonging to the Washington Pieces (1783-1800) series. Produced during the earliest years of the United States Mint, when the young republic was establishing its monetary system and coinage traditions. The Philadelphia Mint, America's oldest coin-making facility, has struck coins continuously since 1792. Struck in copper, weighing 13 grams, 33 mm in diameter, with a lettered edge.
