Description

One of the most famous New Jersey copper varieties, the "Camel Head" of 1787 features an exaggerated horse head that resembles a camel. The unusual portrait may result from a less skilled die sinker's interpretation of the horse head design. This variety is highly popular among collectors and commands significant premiums.

Rarity Notes

Scarce and highly popular. One of the most recognized New Jersey copper varieties.
