Description

A rare and unusual New Jersey copper of 1786 where the horse's head on the obverse is wearing a bridle or halter. This feature is not found on any other New Jersey copper variety and makes the "Bridle" one of the most distinctive and collectible types in the series. The variety resulted from unusual die preparation.
