The 1786 NJ 1/2P Narrow Shield Half Penny is a cent produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Post-1776 States Coinage (1776-1788) series. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792. Struck in copper, weighing 6.7 grams, 29 mm in diameter, with a plain edge. Cataloged as PCGS #496.
